Edinburgh Castle lies at the top of Royal Mile and situated on an extinct volcano
named Castle Rock dominating the city skyline. This ancient stronghold dates back to 12th century and was the seat of Scottish Kings. Chapel, museums, war memorial, towers, prison, halls and palace are part of the fortress complex.
