Kwun Tong District is the most densely populated district of Hong Kong located in the eastern part of Kowloon. It covers the areas of Kwun Tong, Ngau Tau Kok, Kowloon Bay, Sau Mau Ping and Lei Yue Mun. The district is one of the largest industral areas of the city with a history dating back to the 1950s; however, factories are being replaced with commercial buildings as industrial markets in Hong Kong become less significant.
