Non Air-Conditioned Buses
九巴非空調巴士

In March 2009, the number of non air-conditioned fleet dropped to less than 180, or approximately 4% of the KMB fleet. They will soon be replaced by new buses within a few years, most likely by 2012. Despite heat, these non-ac buses, or "hot dogs" called by the locals, are preferred by some groups, especially the elderly, over air-conditioned buses simply because of better fare; there are also people who prefer fresh air over AC especially when riding on the countryside routes or during the winter.

The current non-ac fleet consists of 3 types of buses: Leyland Olympian (11m), Dennis Dragon (11m) and Volvo Olympian (11m).
