Wong Tai Sin District is located in Northeastern Kowloon and is the only landlocked district of Hong Kong and covers the areas of Diamond Hills, Lok Fu, Choi Hung, etc. Over 86% of the population lives in public housing in the district.
The district's name is derived from the Wong Tai Sin Temple, a Taoist temple established in 1921 and is well-known for its accurate fortune-telling.
Another popular attraction of the district is the Chi Lin Nunnery, a quiet Buddhist nunnery founded in the 1930s in Diamond Hill but was completely rebuilt in 2000 using the traditional architectural techniques of the Tang dynasty (618-907AD).

Chi Lin Nunnery is a Buddhist nunnery founded in the 1930s in Diamond Hill but was completely rebuilt in 2000 using the traditional architectural techniques of the Tang dynasty (618-907AD).
To the south is the Nan Lian Garden, a Chinese-style public garden that features valuable trees and classical Chinese architectures.
The Complex is situated next to Diamond Hill MTR Station and Plaza Hollywood Shopping Centre, yet it maintains to achieve a peaceful atmosphere

Choi Hung Estate is one of the oldest public housing complex in Hong Kong, built from 1962 to 1964. The colorful building facade implies the color of rainbow as "Choi Hung" in Cantonese literally means rainbow. The estate is surrounded by some of Hong Kong's major roads and thus has an excellent public transport network in the area.
