Yau Tsim Mong District 油尖旺區

Yau Tsim Mong is an acronym of three areas: Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mongkok.
Yau Ma Tei
is mainly a mixed residential and retail area located between Tsim Sha Tsui and Mongkok. Tsim Sha Tsui(TST) is located at the tip of Kowloon Peninsula. The area is a major tourist hub in the city where many giant shopping malls and museums are situated. The TST Promenade offers an amazing skyline view of Hong Kong Island, especially at night and during the Symphony of Lights laser show. Mongkok is the heart of Kowloon and one the most busiest area in Hong Kong, and it is said to be the most densely populated area on Earth.

Star Ferry Public Transport Interchange 尖沙咀碼頭總站

The Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Bus Terminus, which dates from the 1920s, is a major urban public transport interchange linking ferry and bus/taxi passengers from Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. It was once served as a rail/bus/ferry interchange until 1974 when Kowloon Station (KCR) was relocated from the present site of HK Cultural Centre to Hung Hom.
A plan to replace the transport hub with a piazza is on the way. All bus routes will then be relocated to TST East.
